Autumn is a natural time to reset.
In Ayurveda, autumn is a Vata season -- marked by dryness, lightness and movement.
As we move from the heat of summer into the cooler months, the body carries the residue of how we've been living…the foods, the pace, the stimulation.
In Ayurvedic terms, this residue is known as Ama -- toxins that accumulate when digestion is overloaded and our rhythms fall out of balance.
Ayurveda recommends cleansing twice a year -- in autumn and spring -- to clear what has built up and prepare the body for the season ahead.
The goal is not restriction. It is grounding.
Giving your digestive system the rest it needs, so you move into winter feeling nourished rather than depleted.
This is the season to come back to yourself.
Is your body ready?
Skin that feels drier than usual
Disrupted sleep or restless nights
Bloating, constipation or an unsettled stomach
Low energy or a persistent sense of heaviness
Mental fog, anxious thoughts or feeling scattered
They are signals from your digestive fire -- Agni -- that it needs support.
What is an Ayurvedic cleanse?
In Ayurveda, good health begins with strong digestion.
When your digestive fire (Agni) is working well, your body can process food, absorb what it needs, and eliminate what it doesn't.
When it's weakened or overwhelmed, toxins accumulate and imbalance follows.
An Ayurvedic cleanse is not a fast, a detox juice programme, or a list of things you cannot eat.
It is a gentle, structured week of warm, freshly prepared food, simple daily practices, and intentional rest -- designed to give your digestion a chance to recover and reset.
This is Ayurveda in practice. Ancient wisdom, adapted for a modern life.
What you'll experience over 7 days
Each day has its own gentle rhythm.
You wake to warm water and ginger tea.
You move your body slowly.
You cook simple, nourishing food and eat it without rushing.
You breathe. You rest. You take a few minutes to notice what's shifting.
It sounds simple -- and in many ways it is.
But behind that simplicity is seven days of expert guidance, rooted in thousands of years of Ayurvedic wisdom.
Everything is provided -- recipes, guidance and daily support.
Experience the benefits of Ayurveda in a way that feels grounded, realistic, and sustainable.
This is a guided group programme, supported throughout via a private WhatsApp group.
From the moment you sign up, you will receive everything you need:
The cleanse guide, food principles, the foods to avoid, your full 7-day schedule and an explanation of the fasting day -- all before you begin.
Five days before the cleanse starts, the WhatsApp group opens and you’ll receive your shopping list and recipes so you can shop and prepare with confidence.
Throughout the seven days, Shiranee shares her unique guidance on diet, breathwork, self-massage, and self-care practices, with daily check-ins and support.

Optional to enhance your cleanse
Triphala -- £16.95
Triphala is one of the most revered herbs in Ayurveda -- a combination of three fruits with the unique property of supporting all body types.
Mild enough for daily use without side effects or habit formation, it supports digestion, detoxification and gentle cleansing throughout the week.
Tongue scraper -- £10
Tongue scraping is one of the foundational daily habits in Ayurveda -- known as Dinacharya.
Overnight, as your body digests and processes, toxins (Ama) rise to the surface of the tongue. Scraping the tongue each morning before drinking or eating means those toxins are cleared rather than swallowed back into your system.
It takes thirty seconds and makes a noticeable difference. Shiranee will show you exactly how to use it.
UK postage -- £6.50 (if Triphala or tongue scraper are ordered)
"I completed the 7-day spring cleanse with Shiranee and can say that she is always very attentive and supportive.
I really loved the herbal supplements -- I felt they were genuinely healing for my body. If you feel called to do a cleanse and would like to do it Ayurveda-style, Shiranee will guide you with love and care."

The cleanse is built around warm, freshly prepared Ayurvedic vegetarian meals -- simple to make, easy to digest, and genuinely delicious.
Full guidance, recipes and a shopping list are all provided with your cleanse materials once you sign up
-
All of the recipes are naturally gluten free. They are vegetarian rather than strictly vegan, as ghee (clarified butter) is used throughout.
In Ayurveda, ghee is considered deeply nourishing. It contains the micro-nutrients of butter but without the lactose, making it easier to tolerate for many people who are sensitive to dairy.
Healthy fats like ghee are considered essential for absorbing nutrients properly, which is especially important during a cleanse.
If you have specific dietary concerns, please get in touch before registering.

Everyone responds differently. In the first few days, as your body begins to transition, you may notice headaches, fatigue, low energy or shifts in mood.
This is normal -- it is your body adjusting. It usually passes within a day or two, and what follows is 100% worth it!
By the middle of the week, most participants notice clearer energy, a calmer digestive system and a quieter mind.
Shiranee is in the WhatsApp group throughout, so you are never navigating any of it alone.
-
Gentle movement is encouraged throughout the week -- walking in nature and the yoga stretches provided are ideal.
Vigorous exercise is best avoided during the cleanse, as your body is directing its energy inward toward healing rather than outward performance.
Most participants find they can work as normal, though keeping a calm schedule and gentle evenings where possible makes a real difference.
The cleansing process can bring a temporary period of fatigue or mild discomfort in the first day or two -- conserving your energy for the process rather than pushing through it will serve you best.
-
The cleanse involves cooking fresh meals daily and following a gentle self-care routine each morning and evening.
It does ask something of your time to get the full benefit - but most participants find that the grounding rhythm of it quickly becomes the best part of the week.
-
Most of the ingredients are widely available in supermarkets and health food shops.
If you struggle to find something, just get in touch and Shiranee will suggest a suitable alternative.
-
Triphala is one of Ayurveda's most revered herbs -- taken during the cleanse, it supports deeper detoxification and helps the body clear accumulated toxins more effectively.
The tongue scraper is a simple but powerful daily practice that removes overnight toxins before they are swallowed back into your system, amplifying the cleansing process from the very first morning.
You can read more about both above, and simply indicate on your sign-up form if you'd like to add either to your order. Note that each has a small, supplemental cost and postage.
-
The WhatsApp group is what transforms a solo health experiment into a shared experience.
There are no fixed calls or sessions to attend -- guidance, videos and check-ins land in the group and you engage with them in your own time, around your normal day.
Throughout the week, Shiranee is present in the group -- sharing videos, answering questions and offering support.
And there is something genuinely energising about being part of a small group of people all moving through the same week together, encouraging each other, sharing what they're noticing, and celebrating the changes as they come.
-
Day 4 of the cleanse is the fasting and rest day -- a dedicated day of lighter eating, gentle movement and deeper self-care.
Scheduling this on a Saturday (with Sunday as an alternative) means it falls on a day when most people are not working and can genuinely rest.
Working backwards from that, Wednesday is the natural start date.
