What is Ayurveda?
What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda, “the Science of Life” is an ancient Indian medical science of healing with its origins going back over 5k years. Although its origins are from Indian religion & culture, the scientific principles of Ayurveda are universal.
Ayurveda follows an objective approach to health management, disease prevention and rejuvenation.
Ayurveda is an excellent alternative to modern Allopathic Medicine. What modern Allopathic medicine offers is to help reduce pain in general & critical cases, based upon symptom presentations, under the assumption that we are all alike.
However, Ayurveda with its long heritage of medical wellness, takes a more individualistic & holistic view to wellness. Besides looking at the Root Cause rather than the Symptom presentations of an illness it also looks at both the physical and mental state of the individual. This approach can uncover long lasting conditions that could be due to a faulty diet & lifestyle.
Ayurveda can prevent the onset of a future illness and in some cases, cure an illness as well as provide a lifestyle of general good health. Ayurveda is after all, a lifestyle of balanced health.
The aim of Ayurveda is to bring balance to the Body, Mind & the Environment around us.
