Frequently Asked Questions

Simple, easy-to-digest Ayurvedic vegetarian meals designed to improve digestion and balance.
Specific guidance will be provided with the cleanse materials once you sign up.
-
All of the suggested recipes are naturally Gluten free.
All the recipes are Vegan except for cooking with Ghee. Ghee is clarified butter, where the butter has been simmered and the lactose elements separate out so you are left with the pure essence of butter oil from the sacred cow.
Ayurveda believes ghee to be deeply nourishing. It has all the micro-nutrients of butter but without the lactose. Many people who struggle with dairy find that they can tolerate Ghee in small quantities to start with. Ayurveda believes that healthy fats such as Ghee are vital in the body for many important functions such as aiding the absorption of nutrients from your meals during the Cleanse.

Everyone is different and therefore responds differently. You may experience headaches, fatigue, nausea or low energy/moods during the first days as you transition into the Cleanse. This usually passes after a few days, so I'd advise to sit with this change until it shifts and it will. The benefits will be rewarding.
-
Vigorous exercise can disrupt your body's healing. Walking in nature and gentle yoga are perfect for the cleansing period.
Avoid running or going to the gym during this period.
It is possible to work, but would be best to clear your schedule as the cleansing process naturally can lead to a temporary period of fatigue and some mild discomfort, which then resolves as the body rejuvenates. Everybody is different, but conserving as much of your energy as possible for the cleansing process will benefit you.
-
Give yourself approx 2 hours each day to focus on cooking, ideally in the mornings and self care.

Triphala has the unique property of balancing all three doshas. This makes it one of the few drugs in Ayurveda that can be taken irrespective of the individual’s body type. It is mild enough for daily use without fear of side effects or habit formation. It is recommended to support digestion, detoxification and gentle cleansing.
No, the Triphala is not included in the price of the Cleanse. It is a seperate cost. For UK residents only, you can order it from me and it will be posted to you as a separate cost. When you sign up, let me know if you would like to order the Triphala from me.
